Hi Devotees,
In this post, we see about Sri Velleeswarar temple in Mangadu.
The Sri Velleeswarar Temple in Mangadu has a long and storied history of wonders. It is a Navagraha site of Chennai and is a suburban temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, with devotees coming to pay their respects every Friday. It is said that the Lord of Asuras, Shukra, attained Moksha here, which is why the temple is named "Velleeswarar", a combination of the words "Velle" (Friday) and "Eswarar" (Lord Shiva).
The Temple is very special on Fridays. Devotees from Chennai and other districts come here to see
Velleeswararr here.
